The Office of the Vice President for Research recognizes that researchers may need to meet with collaborators from outside the university in-person and on campus. In those cases, as in all on-campus interactions, the health and safety of everyone remains a top priority. Please adhere to the following guidelines:
- In person collaborations from people outside of the university should be a demonstrably essential part of a PI’s research efforts, and not related to training and education.
- Any visiting collaborators with COVID-19 symptoms—including fever greater than 100 degrees Fahrenheit/37.8 degrees Celsius; cough; or shortness of breath, should not come to campus under any circumstances (for a more expansive list of health conditions that require people to stay home, visit the Health & Safety section of this site).
- Collaborators visiting campus, like all UI staff, will be held to the same health and safety guidelines established by the OVPR and CIMT to protect themselves and their colleagues while on campus, including wearing face protection and practicing social distancing.
